Birth Preparation Series

4-Week Evening Series

Feel informed. Feel confident. Feel ready for birth.

Birth is a powerful experience, and preparation can make a meaningful difference.

Our Birth Preparation Series: 4-Week Evening Series is designed for expectant parents who want to understand how birth works, prepare their bodies and minds for labor, and build the confidence and practical skills to navigate birth with intention.

Led by childbirth educator and prenatal yoga instructor Lauren Dailey, this interactive series combines three in-person sessions at Mother Luna with a final virtual session for integration, questions, and connection.

Together, you'll explore the physiology of labor, practice tools for working with your body, understand the choices and interventions that may arise, and learn how you and your partner can approach birth feeling informed, supported, and prepared.

Why Choose the 4-Week Evening Series?

Birth preparation takes time to absorb.

Rather than fitting everything into a single weekend, this four-week format gives you and your partner space to learn, practice, reflect, and return with questions as the series progresses.

The first three sessions are held in person at Mother Luna, allowing for hands-on practice, discussion, and connection with a small group of other expectant families. The final one-hour session is held virtually, giving you an opportunity to integrate what you've learned, ask remaining questions, and begin exploring the transition into postpartum.

What You'll Learn

What Makes This Class Different?

You can't predict exactly how your birth will unfold—and that's not the goal.

Instead, this series focuses on preparing your body, mind, and support team while giving you a deeper understanding of birth and the choices you may encounter along the way.

Through education, hands-on practice, discussion, and body-based preparation, you'll develop tools you can draw on whether your birth unfolds exactly as you'd hoped or takes an unexpected turn.

You'll leave not with a script for the “perfect” birth, but with knowledge, practical tools, and greater confidence in your ability to navigate your own experience.

Who Is This Class For?

This series is ideal for:

  • First-time parents preparing for birth

  • Parents welcoming another baby who want a refresher or a different approach this time

  • Partners who want to feel prepared and actively involved during labor

  • Families who want to better understand physiological birth and how to support the body's natural labor process

  • Parents who also want to understand interventions, pain management, and the medical options that may arise

  • Expectant parents who prefer learning and practicing over several weeks

When Should I Take This Series?

We recommend beginning the Birth Preparation Series anytime from your second trimester through the early-to-mid third trimester, ideally completing the series before the final month of pregnancy.

Because this series takes place over four weeks, consider the date of the final session when choosing the series that works best with your due date.

This gives you and your partner time to absorb what you've learned, practice together, and continue preparing without feeling rushed.
